Both entities are part of MJH Life Sciences. The goal is to offer more services and insights in marketing and communications for healthcare and life sciences brands.

BPD Healthcare has built a reputation as a strong marketing and consulting partner for America’s largest hospitals and health systems.

The Agency Network possesses a wealth of experience supporting pharmaceutical and biotech organizations.

Now, the two entities will be aligned to offer more services and insights to a wide array of organizations across the healthcare ecosystem.

BPD Healthcare will lead The Agency Network, MJH Life Sciences®’ market research and consulting firm focusing on pharma, biotech and medical devices.

MJH Life Sciences, the largest privately held medical media company in North America, announced the acquisition of BPD Healthcare last October. MJH is the parent company of Chief Healthcare Executive®.

Working together, BPD Healthcare and The Agency Network will be able to offer robust marketing and engagement strategies for healthcare and life sciences brands.

Michael J. Hennessy Jr., chairman and CEO of MJH Life Sciences, pointed to the need for more integrated strategies.

“As the healthcare industry continues to be challenged by fragmentation, organizations need clearer, more connected approaches to marketing and communications,” Hennessy said. “Bringing TAN under BPD Healthcare’s leadership reflects the importance of strengthening cohesion between care delivery and therapeutic innovation, starting with how brands communicate and demonstrate value.”

BPD Healthcare has spent decades working with hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers and other providers on brand strategy and communications. BPD utilizes AI technologies and its proprietary data platform to offer deep insights to its partners. BPD has worked with HCA Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, the University of California Health System and many others.

Similarly, The Agency Network advises pharmaceutical companies and biotech organizations from clinical development through commercialization.

Now, BPD and The Agency Network are looking to help brands communicate more effectively, and they are aiming to link innovations in drugs and treatments with the delivery of healthcare.

Jason Brown, CEO of BPD Healthcare, said he is looking to build on the foundation and relationships The Agency Network has established with its clients.

"The confidence MJH Life Sciences has placed in us to support TAN reflects the critical need in this market,” Brown said. “By combining deeper healthcare delivery insight with pharmaceutical expertise, we can help brands communicate more clearly, earn trust and ultimately make a meaningful impact for clients and patients."

With the acquisition of BPD last year, Hennessy said MJH Life Sciences became better positioned to help health systems and life sciences organizations thrive during a time of rapid transformation in the healthcare industry.

“This is about building a powerful bridge between the science that transforms lives and the systems that deliver that transformation,” Hennessy said in October. “BPD shares our unwavering belief that when innovation meets communication, healthcare moves forward.”

MJH Life Sciences operates more than 60 premier healthcare brands in its portfolio. The company has grown substantially in recent years.

In 2019, MJH acquired a host of media properties from UBM Life Sciences Group, including Medical Economics, Drug Topics, Dermatology Times, Pharmaceutical Executive, DVM360, and others. In 2023, MJH acquired Mesmerize, a company that focuses on patient education at the point of care. Last year, MJH completed the acquisition of NewBeauty.

The company produces over 2,500 live and virtual events annually and produces video content in its state-of-the-art studio in Cranbury, New Jersey and in other studios around the world.
