One Brooklyn Health also announced Arthur Gianelli as president and chief transformation officer. The system announced both appointments earlier this month.

Scott began serving as interim CEO in January 2024, and she secured the role on a permanent basis after a national search.

"I am honored and excited to serve as the new CEO of One Brooklyn Health - an institution that is so important to me and vital to the communities we serve,” Scott said.

Dr. Alexander Rovt, chairman of One Brooklyn Health’s board of trustees, praised Scott’s “robust experience and passionate commitment to One Brooklyn Health.”

"Now more than ever before, we need cornerstone, community hospitals to provide equitable access to healthcare for our families and patients that are in the most vulnerable neighborhoods,” Rovt said in a statement. “And Dr. Scott is the right leader for OBH."

Previously, Scott served as the executive director of the Brookdale Hospital Center for nearly three years and served as Chair of OBH's Department of Emergency Medicine.

Art Gianelli joins One Brooklyn Health from Mount Sinai Health Systems, where he served as president and chief transformation officer of the Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital.

“I'm looking forward to partnering with the Board, Dr. Scott and staff to build a health system that delivers efficient, effective, accessible and high-quality care to our patients,” Gianelli said in a statement.

Drew Early

Memorial Health appoints first chief operating officer

Drew Early has been named the inaugural chief operating officer of Memorial Health.

The system said the appointment of Early reflects the growth of the organization. Memorial Health operates five hospitals and a host of clinics in Illinois.

Early serves as CEO of Decatur Memorial Hospital, and he’ll continue to hold that role until a replacement is appointed.

Mandy Eaton, president and CEO of Memorial Health, said that Early will look to ensure more alignment throughout the system.

“Drew’s strong operational background, deep institutional knowledge, and commitment to our mission make him the ideal choice for this role,” Eaton said in a statement. “We’re confident his leadership will strengthen the system’s ability to deliver excellent care across the communities we serve.”

Early has been with Memorial Health since 2006, and he has been serving as CEO of Decatur Memorial Hospital since October 2019. He also served as vice president of operations at Springfield Memorial Hospital, among other roles in the system.
