Daniel Lace of Leaders in Medicine: What Value-Based Care Means to Him

Video

In the second part of an interview with CMO Daniel Lace, the doctor turned the conversation to how he defines value-based care.

In the second half of an HCA News interview with Daniel Lace, MD, the CMO of Leaders in Medicine detailed how getting the most for your dollar is "part of the human condition," and the importance of constantly monitoring the quality of treatment to determine whether it is consistently worth the cost.

"We're trying to take personalized medicine," he says, "Very much a provider and a patient working closely on their care plan, and we're trying to scale that up...it's very difficult to do.”

Lace also spoke of the importance of Medical Science Liaisons as figures to help hone in on the efficacy and value of a decision, whether in a pharmaceutical company or a provider system.
