Peter Bach Talks DrugAbacus and Ways Tech Hasn't Changed Medicine

Despite being the creator of innovative drug pricing technology, he believes medical tech has remained somewhat static in the past 30 years.

Physician and epidemiologist Peter Bach, MD is the Director of Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Center for Health Policy and Outcomes. At the Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation's Transform meeting, he sat down with Healthcare Analytics News and discussed technology and drug pricing.

Bach is the creator of a technology called DrugAbacus, which uses analytics to determine value of different cancer drug treatments based on price and outcomes. In the interview, he also talked about how technology has not changed medicine drastically in his 30 years in the field.
